Yes, very closely. However, please keep in mind that almost all
the material sold by World of Thai Silk
is created by individual, independent, women weavers at
their homes in Northeast Thailand using traditional methods and
their own looms. This is why widths of the cloth varies
and each bolt of cloth is a unique work of art.
So the answer is also, no. Unless the silk is woven by the same woman at the same time, there must be slight variations because its all done by human hand. However, it is very unlikely you'll be able to perceive any difference. Also, the same dye color and catalog number from the same production lot from the same manufacturer can be slightly different. It's probably a good idea to expect the same color homespun and hand woven silk made at different times to vary as much as 5% in color, shade, tone or hue. |
